The Crown Woods School team won the final of the London Debate Challenge on 1st July 2010! It was held at the English Speaking Union, in Dartmouth House, and was a competition between the best state school from each borough.
Crown Woods made it to the final, where they beat the team from Pimlico Academy, on the motion "This house would punish parents if their children truant". The three students who debated in the final were Deren Mehmet, Nadine James and Taylor Ryan. Deren was also awarded a prize for being the 5th best speaker overall, and Taylor the 2nd!
