Welcome to The 2012
We moved into our new facilities almost a year ago now and since February have been able to use some of the outside space, including an all-weather, floodlit Astro turf area as well as a MUGA (multi-use games area)
We are privileged to have such wonderful facilities for pupils to use as a part of their physical education.
There have been many new developments since we moved. We have launched the Greenwich Basketball Academy, the 2012 Dance Academy and more recently the 2012 Football Academy.
Not only are facilities well used during curriculum time, but every evening until 6pm you will find pupils training in various sports both inside and out. The pupils and staff are really making the most of the wonderful spaces and equipment we have available to us.
In our Olympic sized sports hall we have retractable seating to accommodate up to 450 spectators. This has been well used when teams from local schools/colleges have been playing Basketball against our pupils. The atmosphere is always electric, perhaps you’ve seen some of the reports on matches in the local media.
We are currently planning to host a Cricket Leadership Award programme over 4 weekends along with an Easter Soccer School, using coaches from Millwall Football Club.
With the Summer term approaching we have been negotiating with specialist tennis coaches to come and support or curriculum. We are continually looking to get specialist sportsmen & women in to work with our youngster’s to inspire them and show that through hard work and commitment anyone can achieve great things in sport.
Plans are also developing for our Olympic programme for the Summer term. In this very important year, we are delighted to have been selected by LOCOG (London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games) for our pupils to participate in the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games on 27th July. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and excitement is mounting as we await the results of auditions held in January and details on rehearsal schedules.
We appreciate the support given by parents/carers in ensuring pupils always have the correct kit for their PE lessons. Pupils look very smart and ready for their activities, many visitors to the 2012 Centre have commented on this. The CWC PE kit is only available through the 2012 Centre. For any enquiries about PE kit, please contact Ms. Clark in the 2012 Centre on the school number or via email

We hope you take advantage of any opportunity you have to visit us in the 2012 Centre, on open events or to support your children in their matches/ tournaments.
Look out for details on fixtures and results on the website.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any enquiries.
